I can see a blooming flower
growing in your burning heart
a burning heart stretched wide in flames
let us feel it though your veins

I can see a burning heart
pumping with such fierce devotion
a devotion strong as blooming flowers
blooming in your wisdom’s bones

I can feel your growing hope
one that lifts us from the ground
the ground so muddy, hard and wet
let it seal and let it set

you can hold a blooming flower
simply with your tender eyes
and lend to us your loving lens
eternal flower we can sense

I can see a dying flower
I watch it though the snow and storm
the peaceful, dark and resting flow
where roots will deepen and slowly grow
